Last updated: April 11, 2026

1. Introduction

Quick Bill Convert ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our document parsing service.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account information: Email address, name, and payment details (processed by Paddle, our payment provider — we do not store credit card numbers)
  • Uploaded documents: Bills, receipts, invoices, statements, and other financial documents you upload for parsing
  • Support communications: Messages you send to our support team

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: Features used, documents parsed, export formats selected
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution
  • Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and parse your uploaded documents
  • Generate cross-document insights and analytics
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Paddle)
  • Send service-related communications (account updates, security alerts)
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your uploaded documents for training AI models.

4. Document Processing and Privacy

Your financial documents may contain sensitive information. We take this seriously:

  • On-device processing: When available, documents are processed locally on your device and never sent to our servers
  • Cloud processing: When cloud processing is used, documents are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and processed in memory. We do not permanently store your original documents after parsing is complete
  • Parsed data: Structured data extracted from your documents is stored in your account so you can access it later. You can delete this data at any time
  • No bank linking: We never connect to your bank accounts or financial institutions

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Paddle: Payment processing and subscription management. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and has its own Privacy Policy
  • Cloud infrastructure: We use Google Cloud Platform for hosting. Data is stored in US-based data centers
  • AI processing: Document parsing uses Anthropic's Claude AI. Document text is sent to the AI for extraction and is not retained by the AI provider after processing

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and parsed data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and parsed documents within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain uses of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@quickbillconvert.com.

9. GDPR Compliance (EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, we process your data under the following legal bases: consent (where you provide it), contract performance (to deliver the Service), and legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. CCPA Compliance (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact us at support@quickbillconvert.com.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
